Queensland Agriculture and Fisheries faced three major issues when utilising the data collected.
One was that the size, complexity, and disparity of the data collected would take a lot of man-hours to process and evaluate.
Two was real-time data could not be put into use due to the nature of the data science analysis.
Three was that the Farmers used different IoT devices to monitor their shipments and accessing data from different software was a challenge and could only be accessed for a limited period of data.
The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF)works to achieve a productive and profitable agriculture, fisheries and forestry sector by promoting sustainability and innovation. They provide leadership for the sector which adds value to the economy and community.
The Department operates in more than 90 locations across the state. Around 68% of their staff live and work in locations outside Brisbane’s central business district.
Iot Loggers is leveraging ISH technologies’ IoT cloud platform to better manage and maintain its connected Data Loggers and to help to monitor several company loggers in a single platform.
The ISH Technologies’ insights business intelligence and analytics tool was employed to obtain real-time shipment data from the IoT connected data loggers systems in use. The shipment data collected through ISH Technologies’ insights included additional maintenance and service checkpoints from the deployed systems.
ISH Technologies provided custom applications to growers, built using the IoT Application API. These applications allow Growers to view their real time shipment , set threshold alerts and notifications, and control devices directly from the mobile app.
